Hi, I’m Candace. I’m a prairie gal based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I’m glad you’re here.
My work as a postpartum doula is rooted in a lineage of women who understood that the time after birth isn’t a hurdle to get over, but a season to be held.
The care I offer is a way of tending that centers you, the Mother, by weaving together the rhythms of nature, presence, and a sense of true containment.
My work is shaped by deep listening, lived experience, and a respect for the rebirths of womanhood. As a mother of two, I support families from a place of having walked this terrain and by providing space for rest and care that meets you where you are.
I’ve trained under Eyla Cuenca at Uncovering Birth, deepening my understanding of physiological healing, newborn care, and the sacred transition into motherhood. I bring all of these pieces, including my love for capturing life through a lens, into the way I support you.
A supported mother is a thriving family. When you are nourished, every bond grows deeper. If something here feels familiar or steadying, you’re welcome to reach out and explore whether we’re aligned.
Rooted in love and tailored to meet you where you are
Postpartum is a time unlike any other. A woman’s body, heart, and spirit have undergone a profound opening to bring life through her. True rest is not simply sleep, it is being protected from unnecessary demands, held in gentleness, and given permission to slow.
The goal is to prepare and stock your postpartum space with all the essentials to make rest easy and grounded. I offer light tidying and gentle resets of shared spaces so you can rest without disruption.
Nourishment in the postpartum period is foundational. Warm, mineral-rich, and nutrient-dense foods are offered to rebuild the body after birth, support lactation, and restore vitality.
This looks like organic, locally sourced, thoughtfully prepared herbal infusions, stews, bone broths and snacks to support your healing. Dietary needs can be incorporated.
Breastfeeding support is offered in a gentle, non-prescriptive, and holistic way, honoring both the mother and baby as they learn together. This care centers the mother–baby bond, supports intuitive feeding, and creates space for trust, patience, and confidence to grow.
Integrative care invites your nervous system to soften and settle through being held and tended by another woman.
Practices may include sitz baths, foot soaks, massage, breathwork, and gentle touch - each chosen to support circulation, relaxation, and emotional release.
The closing ceremony honors the completion of the postpartum threshold. It is bringing you back to yourself as you emerge in the becoming of a Mother. We create space to acknowledge what has been given, what has changed, and what is being reclaimed, offering closure and reverence for the journey you've undertaken.
